A   Yes, of course you can but please ensure that your body has adjusted to either the Negative heel Technology or the weighted technololgy before engaging in a long session of high intensity, cardiovascular exercise.

Q  Can I reserve a pair of shoes while I wait for my shoes to arrive back with you?

A   Our system is not configured to ‘reserve’ shoes and you would need to place a new order in order to avoid disappointment.

Q  You don't have a store. Can you ship shoes to the USA?

A  Yes, we ship WORLDWIDE. Delivery times to the US can be as little as 5 days!

Q  How do I change the Currency shown in my Basket

You can view our website in other currencies by changing the basket currency - you'll find this at the top right hand corner of each page. If you are outside the EU you will not be charged UK sales tax so you can reduce the price shown by 17.5%

Q  My shoes haven't arrived, although I've received my shipping email and my tracker says they have been shipped to me?

Your tracker page and shipping email will contain your Royal Mail or Business Post tracker number so you can trace your package on either of their websites. Are you certain your Postman hasn't tried to deliver them whilst you weren't home, or left them with a neighbour ? Some Postal Services do not always leave a card to say they have tried to deliver to you. Check with your local depot first to re-schedule delivery.

Note - you can tell us about a 'safe place' we can leave or deliver your parcel if you know you wont be home.

Q  Tell me about Earth Vegan

A  Earth Vegan are constructed no differently from our leather shoes. The only difference is the materials used. Our Vegan shoes are made with high quality Japanese micro-fibers that look and feel amazingly like supple leather. Earth has been certified by The Vegan Society, which is the oldest Vegan Organization in the world. Their certification is ONLY given to products that meet ALL Vegan standards.

Q  Which trainer - I'm confused between all the different ones on the market ?

A  Read our comparison page - Which trainer?

Q  How do I clean my Earth Trainers?

A  We find that a mild detergent (Fairy Liquid) and a soft cloth should be sufficient. Alternatively, some of our customers have told us that gentle Baby wipes are perfect for the job.

Q  How should I care for my Leather, Suede and Vegan shoes?

If your shoes are leather, you should buff them with a good leather conditioner every so often. This will keep the leather looking new and remove minor scratches and scuff marks. If your shoes are suede, lightly brush them with a suede brush to remove dust and minor scuffs. You can also spray them with spray silicone to repel dampness. Shoes from our vegan line can be wiped with a damp cloth and a mild soap. The micro-fiber ultra suede should be treated the same as regular suede.   We do not guarantee our shoes are waterproof unless we say so in the product description - so please do spray with silicone if you want to protect them.

Q  Can you wear Earth boots in the snow?

Yes, some styles are waterproof or water resistant (it states which on the product) but some of our styles are for fashion only. You can spray them with silicone to repel dampness, but they are not meant for severe weather.

Q  I'm a Yoga Teacher/Pilates instructor. Do you sell your products wholesale?

Yes we do offer wholesale - please look here for more information

Q  Can I wear inner soles or orthotics with your shoes?

A  Some of our manufacturers advise that inner soles or orthotics are unnecessary (particularly Earth) as the orthopaedic design will offer enough support to the arches of the feet, so you may find you do not need your orthotics any longer. Any change to the shape of the shoe may negate some of the positive effects of the shoes so please bear this in mind.

Q  Can I wear my Earth Trainers for all types of sporting activity?

A  Yes. You should be able to wear your Earth trainers for all activities such as running, walking, power walking, tennis, squash, gym . As with any new shoe, you should get used to your trainers at the beginning and make sure you are comfortable wearing them for your chosen sport.

Q.  Can I wear my Earth shoes all day?

A.  Yes, if you find them comfortable - there is no reason why not. As with any shoes, you may prefer to wear them in for short periods until you are used to them.

Q  My shoes hurt. What shall I do?

Take off your shoes. Try again for a shorter period of time the next day and gradually increase the wearing time each day.  Most shoes need wearing in and they may grip onto a part of the foot unaccustomed to feeling a strap or heel.  In particular, sandals may rub on bare feet at the beginning of the season, but again, gradually allow your feet to become accustomed.

Q  I wore my shoes all day yesterday. I have stiff muscles in my lower body today. Is this normal?

A  You will probably have used muscles that may have been unused for a while! If you feel uncomfortable, don't wear your shoes until the stiffness has gone. Wear your shoes for shorter periods and build up the length of time you wear them gradually.

Q  I really want to get going with my Earth shoes. Can I wear them all day?

A There is no reason why not - but you can judge if you feel any discomfort of any kind, try wearing your Earth shoes for short periods and build up the length of time, until they have worn in and softened a little. Once your feet are used to them, you may wear them for as long as you are comfortable.

Q  Why do my feet burn when I first wear Earth shoes?

A   Certain individuals find that their feet get very hot when they first wear Earth shoes because the technology encourages an increase in blood flow to the feet; this is nothing to worry about and should disappear after a couple of weeks. However, if this burning fails to go after this time, please consult your GP.

Q  I suffer from Arthritis in my lower limbs can Earth shoes help me?

A   Yes they can because your body weight is distributed more evenly which means that less stress and impact is placed on the knees, ankles, heel and toes as you walk. The GELRON2000 sole of all Earth shoes will absorb a lot of the shock associated with normal gait and movement and minimize pain.

Q  Will everyone adjust to the way the Negative Heel feels right away?

Probably not: Negative Heel Technology is different, and it may take some people a little time to get used to this new, natural way of walking. Men and Women who wear lower heel shoes tend to settle in more quickly than women who wear higher heels. Just like when you begin to exercise, moderation is the best bet at first: wearing Earth for a couple hours each day, allows any (previously neglected) muscles some time to adjust.

Q  My feet are prone to blistering with new shoes - what can I do?

A  There are foot balms available from some high street stores that can help prevent rubbing or blistering from the first wear.  However, by gradually increasing the wear time your feet will become accustomed to new shoes that may rub or grib in a different area.

Q I wore Earth back in the 70’s and loved them! Are they made the same way now?

Earth shoes are still made with the same Anne Kalso Original Negative Heel that made you feel so good back then. The uppers are made with the finest materials possible to give you incredible comfort and we've added a GELRON 2000 insole cushion that promotes good circulation and eases back pain. All this and style too! Many of the Earth shoes use the same look as the originals and some have a more updated look. But they are made with more state of the art lightweight materials these days.

Q.  I have wide feet, will your Earth range fit me?

. Our shoes are designed to fit standard widths, some people find it more comfortable to go up to the next size if they have a wide foot. Because our shoes have a wider toe box, many people needing wide widths can wear our shoes comfortably. Ultimately, comfort is the key. You should wear what is most comfortable for you. Q  I have narrow feet, will your shoes slip off my feet?

A Some people with narrow feet do find any shoes slip off. We have found that heel grips (widely available from chemists) may solve the problem. People with varying widths have found great comfort in our shoes. We would recommend an oxford or an adjustable buckle. These would help with keeping your foot stable.

Q.  What sort of socks should I wear with my Earth trainers?

A.  We find that pure cotton socks are the best type of socks to wear.

Q  I have a medical condition affecting my lower body, and I am not sure if I should wear Earth. What should I do?

A  Naturally, we can't offer remote medical advice. Although our shoes have helped hundreds of people with back and leg conditions, if you are concerned, please ask your specialist or consultant to look at the information on our website, or supply them with some printed off information pages, to enable them to better advise you.You will find lots of medical testimonials on our website and this customer experience may help you.
